It was fate. One wedding morning last year I was in the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Hunnewell Building following the bride as she gushed over her flower delivery when someone asked for my card. Elyse was beginning to plan her own big day and was visiting the venue to get ideas. Nine months later I had the great pleasure of photographing Elyse and Dan’s own Elm Bank wedding day.
Elyse and her bridesmaids used the conference room in the Education Center room to get ready.
There’s almost nothing I enjoy more than witnessing the reaction of a bride’s parents when they see their little girl looking perfect in her dress and veil.
Dan soon arrived and awaited his first look at Elyse in the Children’s Garden.
Capturing the day with me was Maine Wedding Photographer Andree Kehn. Andree has an amazing ability to find unique takes on the day’s happenings. The photo of hers below is one of my favorites from the day.
The Ketubah was signed and the smiling wedding party paraded to the ceremony on the Manor House patio in front of the Italianate Garden.
Elyse and Dan kicked off their reception with a elegant first dance and joyous Hora.
After the toasts and parent dances concluded, the band Kahoots busted loose… at one point with Elyse’s brother sitting in on drums.
Congratulations again Elyse and Dan!
